Vision

Since moving to Foster City, Herb has tried to serve his community and its citizens in different ways.

As an active resident, he has come to understand both the strengths and the challenges the city faces through the relationships he has developed with the families he is involved with, as well as with the relationships he has developed with many of the leaders of the community. As a result, he decided to serve the community by becoming a member of both the Park and Recreation Committee and the Education Committee. As a member of these committees Herb has been able to utilize the skills he has developed in his lifetime to try and add to the commitment Foster City has to education and to offering quality parks and recreation programs for its families.

As a business owner, he has strived to serve as a role model and to educate the youth within the community in how to achieve excellence in their lives. Within the community, he and his staff have developed new partnerships to financially support sports and physical education programs in Foster City. Having been both an Olympic athlete and an active member of developmental staffs for the past decade in the United States, Asia, and in the Middle East, Herb has been able to implement his experience in developing mutually beneficial relationships to add value to not only his students, but also to the community.

In short, Herb’s goals are to seek to build a consensus and encourage citizen communication and awareness in order to resolve difficult issues; to protect and develop revenue streams to maintain Foster City’s infrastructure; to preserve the community’s general fund reserves; to enhance citizen safety and emergency preparedness; and to ensure a balance between re-development and the quality of life in Foster City.
